What you get, what it costs, and how to get your money back. Written to be read, not to be survived.

OmniTaught is operated by OmniTaught LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company, founded by Michael C. Shedrick, M.S., PLPC, NCC. When these terms say "we" or "us" they mean OmniTaught LLC. When they say "you" they mean the person using OmniTaught.

Using OmniTaught means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
OmniTaught is an educational study tool. It teaches with short lessons, practice questions, and flashcards on a spaced review schedule. That is the entire product.
The Topic Genie writes a custom course from your description using an AI model. Nobody reads it before it reaches you.
That means a Genie course can be wrong. It can state something confidently and inaccurately, miss something important, or reflect a rule that has since changed. Treat it as a study aid built for you, not as an authority.
Before you rely on anything from a Genie course in professional practice, on an exam application, or in a decision that affects someone else, check it against an authoritative source: the licensing board, the current statute, the clinical guideline, the textbook.
You need an account to save progress across devices. Keep your password to yourself, use an address you can actually receive mail at, and tell us if you think someone else is in your account.
One account is for one person. Sharing an account or a paid subscription with others is not permitted.
You can close your account yourself at any time. Open Settings in the app and use Delete my account. It removes your account and everything on it, and you do not need to email anyone or wait for us to act. If the button ever fails, write to [email protected] and we will do it for you.
A new account gets a free week with everything open and no card asked for. After that, OmniTaught is a subscription: $9.99 a month or $79 a year, charged in US dollars. The subscription includes the whole built-in library and one Topic Genie course each calendar month. That included course does not carry over: an unused month's course expires when the month ends.
Two things are sold on their own, one at a time: an extra Topic Genie course for $6.99, and narration of a Genie course (every lesson read aloud by the app's narrator) for $9.99. Narration is bought once per course, and everyone who has that course hears it. Prices are also shown on the pricing section of the site and inside the app before you pay.
Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. We will tell you by email at least 14 days before any price increase takes effect on your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
A free week, and a gifted free month, come without a Topic Genie course: during them you can buy one for $6.99, and a plan includes one each month once you join.
Every account has an invite link. The first person who makes an account on your link gets their first month free instead of a week; each account can give that month once. When your gifted friend finishes their first lesson, you get one Topic Genie course.
Buying inside the iPhone or Android app. In the App Store app, purchases are made through Apple and charged to your Apple ID; in the Google Play app, through Google Play. The prices are the same, shown in your local currency by the store, and the store's own terms apply to the payment itself. A plan bought in an app renews through that store until you cancel it there: on an iPhone under Settings, your name, Subscriptions; on Android in the Play Store app under Subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period to avoid the next charge. A plan bought on the website is managed on the website (Settings, Manage billing). A plan bought in an app cannot be changed from the website, and the reverse.
Topic Genie capacity is finite. Building a course costs real money to run. If we ever need to limit builds, we will tell you in the app before you spend a wish or a dollar, never after, and a wish that is not spent stays yours.
We would rather give money back than keep money from someone who does not want the product. Here is exactly how that works for anything bought on the website.
Full refund within 15 days of purchase or renewal, less $9.99 if you built a Topic Genie course in that time.
Take it yourself from Settings, Your plan, with the amount shown on the button, for 15 days after the charge. The refund goes to the card you paid with, your subscription ends at once, and your progress is kept. If you spent the plan's included Genie wish in those days, $9.99 is kept for that course and you keep the course. For example, $79 paid on the 1st and refunded on the 10th comes back as $79, or $69.01 if you built a course.
Not refunded. Cancel any time and keep access through the period you already paid for.
Cancelling stops the next charge. Because a month costs little and ends soon, we do not prorate it. If you were charged by mistake, that is not a refund question, it is our error, and we will fix it.
Refunded if the narration never finishes. Not refunded once every lesson can be played.
The narrator reads the course one lesson at a time, and each lesson's play button appears as it lands. If it stalls and we cannot finish it, email us and the charge comes back. A finished narration is a delivered digital good.
Refunded when the build fails. Not refunded for a course you received and did not like.
A failed build returns your wish automatically, before you see an error, so you can try again without paying twice. A completed course is a delivered digital good that you keep, so it is not returnable. If a completed course is genuinely broken, email us and we will make it right.
Bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple and Google handle refunds for purchases made in their apps, under their own policies, and we cannot issue or override one. Ask the store: for Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, for Google in the Play Store's order history. When a store grants a refund, the plan it paid for closes on our side, the same day for Apple and within a day for Google Play. A refunded extra Topic Genie course that has not been used yet is taken back, and a narration that was already finished stays, because it is a delivered good. The rules above are ours and apply to purchases made on the website.
Cancelling stops future charges. It does not delete your account.
What "for life" means. It means for as long as we provide the service. It is a promise that we will not start charging you for the published courses, and that no future price or plan change will take that access away. It is not a promise that OmniTaught will exist forever. If we ever have to shut the service down, we will say so in the app and by email with as much notice as we can give, and free-for-life access ends when the service does, the same as it does for everyone else.
The program was open to the first 300 accounts that enrolled, and it closed when paid plans opened. Every tester who earned the benefit keeps it; a tester who had not earned it by then had one further week to finish the three lessons, and after that the ordinary plans apply.
To earn the free-for-life benefit, a tester completed three course lessons while the program was open, or within the week after it closed. That is the entire requirement.
Feedback is not required. The app invites you to send feedback and we would genuinely like to receive it, but it earns you nothing, it is never a condition of the free-for-life benefit, and declining to send any has no effect on your account.
While the program was open there was no required schedule. The three lessons could be completed in a single sitting or spread over any length of time, and a tester who stopped partway kept full access for the rest of the program.
The program has closed. It closed on 12 September 2026, the day paid plans opened, and no new founding testers are enrolled. A tester who had not finished three lessons by then had seven days from that day, until 19 September 2026, to finish them and earn the free-for-life benefit. After that, the ordinary plans apply.
The free-for-life benefit covers unlimited access to OmniTaught's published courses. It does not cover Topic Genie course generation, which is provided as one single-use code at signup and is otherwise sold separately.
Once earned, this grant survives any future change to our pricing or plans, and we will not revoke it.
Founding testers. Accounts enrolled before this program was published have the free-for-life benefit unconditionally. It is already theirs, it does not depend on completing any lessons or sending any feedback, and it cannot be lost. They also keep the three Topic Genie codes they enrolled under: one issued at signup, one at their fourth check-in, and one at their eighth.
You keep ownership of the wishes you write.
By building a course with the Topic Genie, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to store that course, display it in the public Wish Library so other learners can add it, and include it in the built-in topic library if we think it is good enough to feature. This license exists so the Wish Library can work at all.
Your wish itself is never shown publicly. The goal, background, and context you typed stay private. Only the finished course is shared, under its own title.
You can ask us to take your course out of the library at any time, and we will. Learners who already added a copy to their own device keep that copy.
We can also remove or decline to display any course at our discretion, for example if it is a near-duplicate of another, or if it breaks the rules below.

We may suspend or close an account that does these things. If we close your account for breaking these rules, we do not owe a refund for the remaining time.
If you believe something on OmniTaught infringes your copyright, email [email protected] with enough detail to find it: what the work is, where it appears on the service, and how to reach you. We take these seriously and will remove infringing material.
We add topics, change how things work, and occasionally take features away. We will not remove the courses you paid to build while you have access to them, but the rest of the service can change without notice.
We try to keep OmniTaught available, and it is built to work offline once loaded, but we do not promise uninterrupted service.
OmniTaught is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim relating to OmniTaught is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost opportunities, exam outcomes, or professional consequences.
Some states do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Louisiana, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of OmniTaught will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Louisiana, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
Either of us may still bring an individual claim in small claims court. Nothing here takes that away from you.
If we ever have a disagreement, please email us first. Most things are fixable in one message.
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects what you get or what you pay, we will email account holders before it takes effect. The effective date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
Continuing to use OmniTaught after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
OmniTaught is a study tool. It is not a crisis service, and nobody here is monitoring it for emergencies.
