Two taps in the app. Here is exactly what goes, what stays, and what we cannot undo.
Effective August 2, 2026 ยท OmniTaught LLC, a Louisiana limited liability company
How to delete your account
In the OmniTaught app, open Settings and tap Delete my account.
Type your password when it asks. It asks because this cannot be undone, and we would rather be sure it is you.
That is the whole thing. The deletion happens immediately, not on a queue, and nobody has to approve it.
If you cannot get into the app
A forgotten password does not trap you. Use the reset link on the sign-in screen, get back in, and delete from Settings.
If that still does not work, email [email protected] from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. A person reads that inbox and will confirm when it is done.
What gets deleted
Everything below is erased from our database the moment you confirm. Not hidden, not flagged, not anonymised: the rows are gone.
Your account itself: your email address, your first name, and the scrambled version of your password.
Your study progress: finished lessons, quiz scores, streaks, flashcard review schedules, and your notes.
The record of what you did in the app: which courses you opened, which lessons you started and finished, when you reviewed.
Any course the Topic Genie built for you, and any course you adopted from the Wish Library.
The backup copies we keep of your progress so that a sync problem can be undone.
Crash and error reports from your device.
Your sign-in sessions on every device, your check-in replies, and any votes you cast on community courses.
What is kept, and for how long
Almost nothing, and none of it points back at you.
Courses you shared with the Wish Library. If you published a course for other learners, the copy other people adopted stays with them. It carries no name, no email, and nothing that links it to you. Your own copy is deleted with the rest.
Anonymous totals. Counts like "how many lessons were finished this week" survive, because they are numbers with nobody's name attached and cannot be traced back to a person.
Ordinary web server logs kept briefly by our host, Cloudflare, in the normal course of running a website. These are not tied to your account.
Email you sent us stays in our inbox unless you ask us to clear it, the same as any correspondence.
What we cannot undo
Deleting your account is permanent. We cannot restore your progress afterwards, because we no longer hold it. If you think you might come back, and you only want to stop for a while, simply stop: an inactive account is not deleted, and your progress waits for you.
If you are a founding tester, deleting your account also gives up the free-for-life place that came with it. That promise is attached to the account, and there is no way for us to hand it back once the account is gone.
